A modern design

The Maneki Neko (招き猫, "Beckoning Cat") is a common Japanese sculpture, which is believed to bring good luck to the owner. It depicts a Japanese Bobtail beckoning with an upright paw, and is usually displayed at the entrance in shops and restaurants.

Dragon is only the imaginary animal in the Chinese twelve horary signs. Dragon is counted one of four spirits (Phoenix, Kylin, Tortoise) in China and is compared to a champion. Dragon is the principal image of rain in the esoteric Buddhism, because it is thought Dragon rules cloud and rain.
